SOME DAMN UGLY STUFF, BUT…… Madrid plays sloppy but nets another in the win column

REAL ALE 2             HOTSPURS 0

Ian Chris

Well not much to say here. We could have demolished these guys 20-0 if we wanted to, or we could have taken a lackluster performance and made things interesting. We chose to take option B. With a plethora of subs on our bench, and a man down Hotspurs to face, Madrid went through the motions and walked its way to a 2-0 victory last night. We had chances…numerous to be exact, but that killer instinct was definitely not there as we played down to their level. It wasn’t till the second half when we finally broke the goose egg on the board, and a little insurance at the end on a great goal by Chris finally allowed us to breathe a little easier. If there was a garbage game to be had this year, this was it. Now going forward………….i don’t ever want to see this crap again!

Good: - Ian Newman and that’s about it. He hustled and tried to make things happen. Shots careening off the crossbar were a little unlucky, but if you were to bet your money on who would have finally scored, this is your man. Thank god. - Kudos to their keeper. Dude wasn’t anything special made some great saves.

Bad: - our attitude……this game had the potential to finish in a tie, and if it did, that would have been ugly. We played to their level, we kept them in it, and made things harder on ourselves then they should have been. We had 16 guys to their 9. - Chris flying into jealous rages everytime one of us bats an eye at Kim. You bring a supermodel to the game and expect us to keep it cool? Some of these guys on our team haven’t gotten laid in 20 years….

Ugly: - Warren Parkes will not be making any money anytime soon doing motivational speaking. You know things are bad when even Jack gets frazzled by Warren’s inane comments…

Next up… REDPATH. If you don’t realize the importance of this game I suggest you leave this team now. We are 1 point behind them for first in the league. We sure as hell should have beat them the first time around, and we should prove this to the rest of league by handing them their first loss. Here’s a quirky stat for you……………Real Ale Madrid is the team with the most wins in the win column this year with 6. Redpath has 5. Grimes ain’t dreaming when he says ‘the double’. Can we say ‘the double’?
