Oh my. I am so excited. And if you aren’t yet, then you got a problem. In one of the best games played this year, your boys knocked off one of soccer city’s powerhouses to advance to the cup semi final and the days of good times are once again back. It was one hell of a hard fought game with relentless pressure on both ends of the field and one hell of a comeback on our part. Man of the match? I got 2 here……Mark who scored both goals, and Warren, whose throw ins set up both goals. Let us recap….

Good Every damn aspect of Madrid, and way too many to list. A solid effort from every single player who was on that field that day and gave their full 110%. We earned this game. After giving up a terrible goal, Mario stood on his head even when paul tried to score on him. Defense was solid with Ray leading the way. Mids and forwards playing well also on the landmine filled pitch. And the beer after? Well……………….thank god R.I.D.E isn’t out at 5 in the afternoon or else some of us would be in big trouble…

Bad - mr. automatic……or is it mr. semi-automatic……or is it mr. blanks? Paul grimes misses his first penalty of the year and like that his giant ego is gone. Some say it is a blessing in disguise, others say he cried himself to sleep that night….

Next up…. This Wednesday we tangle again with the same Ukraine squad, and if our Wednesday results are any indication of what is to occur then we might be in trouble. That, and the sour taste of defeat on our opponents lips, might lead to us getting a whipping this Wednesday. Cup play breaks till august, where it has been ascertained we will dance with a squad named Juice in the semi-final. Slowly we are almost there lads….
