LATE BREAKING NEWS

This just in ... Co Ed and former Nor'n Ireland player Mike Nelson talks to RAMFCTV in exclusive interview:

I owe all my football success to mentors like Real Ale veteran's Warren Parkes, Simon Burgess and my lovely partner Holly Parkes. After an addiction to sniffing Mr Sheen, I thought I had lost it all. But after spending several long weeks of closed door training and drills with experts like Warren and 'The Boss' (Simon), I managed to kick the habit and actually hit the net a few times. I know I have a long way to go but with friends like these, I know I have everything I need to be successful and achieve all I can with Real Ale.

Brief update. Y fronts should not be too tight, G strings should not be worn by male members of the Over 30's team and boxers should not show the 'boy's out of the barracks' when relaxing with a beer post game.

Now onto game news. The Over 30's goalkeeping crisis has led to the 2nd loss of the season. With new 'old' boy Mario returning to the squad, his debut this season was not one to write home about. Some very poor distribution led to at least 3 goals in a game that without these giveaways, we should have won. No reflection on Mario, he is not a regular keeper and he put on the gloves to help out but the result and performance were poor to say the least. Anyhow onwards and upwards - a 4 - 6 loss and with a weeks break in the schedule, we need to come back stronger for the next game. This one is on Friday November 28th and against HBSFC, the team we beat the game before last.

Onto Co Ed this Saturday gone and a chippy game to say the least with the BOS. A strong squad even without Jamie dominated the game but with one or two unsavoury challenges especially from their young keeper, it was a physical game for all. The young keeper does deserve special mention for his 'Tourette's' like outbursts, even against his own team. Wanker. On a positive note it was nice to see ex-Real Ale Co Ed player Jackie McGregor back playing for them after a bad knee injury. A 4-1 win anyhow and again a 2 week break before we play Benfica at 5.00pm on November 29th. Need everyone there folks so make sure you show up or the man above will show up and shove a bat up your nightdress. Top of the league though baby! Nice one!
